Well I crocheted a pillow based on a direct-to-VHS phone sex thriller and Microsoft didn’t even pay me
This blanket is quite a bit bigger and has more colors though.
I am curious to know what that involved; crochet is notoriously immune to mass production, since there is no real machine to do it. I’d love it if they sold movie-grade crochet blankets in kit form.
(Hollywood set designers love crochet, but the grandmother-made items you can get in thrift stores, or from in-house grandmothers, are rarely the chic kind. You just have to do it yourself)
From her Portfolio page it looks like a promotional display piece. Not anything designed for mass market sale.
Crochet can’t be machine made currently as you mentioned.
There’s machines sometimes called crochet machines, but they’re still a type of knitting machine. The stitch they make just resembles single crochet to a certain extent.
