Bless his little Moose heart, he had the thing pretty much sorted out but he knew it was gonna hurt like hell and the sign wasn’t gonna give a shit. In the end it just wasn’t worth it…but maybe next time
It’s also possibly an interesting glimpse at the psychological effects of signs.
Even though it can’t recognize the sign as a sign, let alone interpret it, the moose is still “facing” it — like it grasps intuitively the sign’s orientation. (“This is the front.”)
