Thanks for posting this; I never would have seen it otherwise. It felt like a soothing balm for my often overheated potato brain. I have been ineffectively arguing along similar lines for far too long. The glare of the limelight too often overshadows worthy artists. While I’m glad J Dilla is much more widely known today, I wish Slum Village as a whole received greater acclaim. Fantastic Volume 2 has kept this lumpy head boppin’ since it’s release.

Wow! I love it! There was a lot going on there… I can see influences from literally all over the genre chart… that seems to me to be a common thing among younger artists now a days… total bricolage, from their both style and musical influence…
