Technically there was an occult book for kids series in the 70’s and 80’s, by Time Life Books seen in public libraries nearly everywhere

I think that was a book written for the American audience updating the one that was made in England by the Scarfolk council, with all updated graphics, and adapted language, like “Close your little sister in the boot” become “Close your little sister in the trunk”
