Regarding multiple parties, we have to keep in mind that this alone does not guarantee a stable and robust democracy. Germany has had a historical lesson on this, and part of the solution is a minimum ballot result of 5% of the vote. Far from perfect, and a debate on its own, but also quite far from abolishing parties altogether.

Much bigger threat than anything going on vis a vis Trump and Russia is decades of GOP control which has resulted in an extractive economy and all the harm (to say the very least) that goes with it.
Not to dis Canadian-Republican apparatchik Frum, but the GOP has been a far, far greater threat to America than anything else. And has been for decades (if not longer) – at least since the late 1940s.
So, you know, fuck him and every other Republican shocked by Donald’s wholly anticipated performance in Helsinki.

Worth repeating here: Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and say that Trump isn’t an agent, puppet, or involved in any way with the Russian govt. Just ask yourself this question, “what he would be doing differently if he was?”.
