I am sad to announce that Fujio A. Fujiko (co-creator of the beloved Doraemon manga and sole author since Fujio F. Fujiko passed away in 1996) passed away last night at his home in Kawasaki. He was 88.

Oh that hurts. I’d met him and his sons a few times and they were all really cool talented people and just part of the “good things” in Dallas. Really sad to hear he’s gone.

To us Polaks, especially in Michigan, this is sad.

I had an aunt and uncle that would never miss a church festival where Big Daddy preformed. He was an icon at Polish festivals everywhere.
