Hey, even the FDA allows a certain amount of insect fragments in food items, and nobody’s going to eat that Van Gogh - unless it’s more insects.

If I ever become famous, they’ve have no trouble authenticating my keyboard.

It doesn’t look like a grasshopper in impasto oil paints so much as a satellite image of some alien planet with the ancient remains of Sandworm larvae. I doubt even art counterfeiters go for that level of detail.

His paintings are made of such huge wallops of paint that a grasshopper would be pretty damn hard to see.
