Defund the police?

Always. It’s not like anyone actually opposes the left’s goals, after all.

Everyone was perfectly willing to grant women and black people rights, it was just up to the left to figure out the perfect way to ask.

People didn’t actually like Trump’s platform of throwing foreigners in camps, but it was all really a question of the left figuring out the perfect way to say not to.

And of course nobody really supports the militarized police, not a bit, the problem is the left doesn’t know the perfect way to object to it.

The problem is always the left. Nobody else ever has any responsibility for anything.

If you’re going to want the cops to support your plan, the letters will have to spell out  O B E Y

Um, no it’s not the same. Reallocating their time is not the same as taking back funding and correcting systemic problems in law enforcement.

Or, maybe you don’t understand who the audience is. Here’s a hint: as @ClutchLinkey writes above, it’s not RWNJs or even self-styled “conservatives” - they will never be convinced. To accomplish political change the key is to motivate your base. They certainly don’t want to “save” the police. Stop trying to get people to pander to their enemies.

Over-Budget, Every Year - the Police.

I think they’d get behind that one.

I want to take three examples:

Defund the police: this was a slogan embraced by progressives that never caught on in the mainstream. Joe Biden explicitly rejected it. When asked about other people in the party that used it Biden noted that Biden beat those others. Despite this, the right says Biden was for defunding the police.

Critical race theory: this was never a slogan, it was the name of an academic discipline for law school. The right took the words only, ignoring completely what they meant and made it into a bogeyman.

“Immigrants are criminals”: They just made that shit up. Never been true.

Fascists don’t need progressives to come up with slogans for them. They don’t care what the words you say mean. I do think that word we say matter, and if I were on the committee I would not have chosen “defund the police”.

But 1) that’s not how it works; 2) I don’t think how the fascist will use your words should be a consideration.

it sounds like the milgram experiment. but it’s also telling how willing cops are to use tear gas and flashbangs, so much so they’re find using them against their own

( wonder how much each use costs taxpayers )

Lots of stats here that expose flaws in the current system:

This effort has to include reducing/eliminating copaganda…the public has been exposed to fantasy versions of policing and the legal system for too long:

Zero public oversight of spending.

Sounds like it’s time to neutralize their expenditure with a nice little EMP burst.

Anyhoo, it looks like BPD are way too wasteful with their cash, much like the military…

Something else entirely…

Will you guys just stop it, please?

Given the situation, I’m leaning toward “Help me fold this guy up so he can fit in this suitcase.”

Only a “good guy with a gun” can stop a man with a bike lock…

What happens next, anyway? Can the family sue for wrongful death?

Another example of someone who called 911 for help and was murdered for it.

The twist: she was the daughter of a retired police chief.
