Made my day. Thanks.
That is utterly majestic. More please!
Our washing machine locks the door, and freezes button access for 5 minutes as a safety feature, as it assumes anybody having fun with the task is likely a child.
It also sings a little ditty when the laundry is done. From time to time, like a Windows XP file transfer counter, it revises the estimated time that the laundry will be done, using some sort of “watched pot never boils” algorithm designed to keep me interacting with it. It also chirps different messages of displeasure that we haven’t decoded yet, as it was a display machine imported from Japan.
My spouse likes mock the machine and I as I hear, “It’s calling you again.” At lease it seems happy to deal with bedding covered in the kids sick at 2 AM.
Nice! I have a similar model. The chimes it makes vs. the way I typically press the buttons sounds very close to the I Dream of Genie theme song.
Wonderful! But coming soon - Eleanor Rigby played on the two notes my freezer plays.
Bet they stopped before the chorus to hide the fact the washing machine hasn’t been able to hit that one note since it was ten either.
Don’t wanna harsh your mellow, but Hurra Torpedo were rocking appliances to the 80s groove long before these guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K64ipl_xwqY
