Would you believe that the department didn’t even send out the information about the memorial service for the colleague who died to the grad student list? Didn’t one of the grad students actually do that? Isn’t that fucked up? Aren’t there some smart and geeky folks in the department and aren’t there those always on the look out for greener pastures?

Wouldn’t I take a job in an archive in a heartbeat? Isn’t the archivist I work for hella-awesome? Didn’t I actually OPEN the batman apron, but it got taken by another grad student? Isn’t that fine, cause I really like the Mao piggy bank?

Are we supposed to assume that “in my department” and “worked in this department” refer to completely different departments? Nobody else thought it referred to a state-change? (ie, “paying us money to work” to “paying you to work”)
