How messed up is it to have all your smoke alarms and your carbon monoxide alarm all going off at 7am on a Saturday? So at least we know they’re all in working order (and thank goodness I had woken up 5 minutes before they went off), but doesn’t it suck that we’ll be without heat until the HVAC folk can come out and see/fix wtf is wrong?

For me? Hell no, isn’t that jeans and two shirts and a hoodie and maybe a jacket and hat to top it off? Where’d I put that wool coat?

For my WI relatives, however, yeah, wouldn’t they be wearing shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops, and talking about how warm it was?

Is it like earlier in the year when my in-laws started noticing all the black mold on their ceilings and felt like they had the flu and called in an engineer who told them it wasn’t mold it was soot, their furnace used the chimney they hadn’t cleaned in 20 years since they didn’t use the fireplace and didn’t know it was shared, and they felt like crap because the chimney was almost blocked and they were within a day or two of dying from carbon monoxide poisoning?
