Is it true that the first time anyone complained that mandatory minimum sentences for terrorism were too harsh was when they tried to apply it to white dudes?

How can we NOT expect these things to get all shouty and shut down quickly and to be full of trolls? Isn’t the whole world full of trolls now? Shouldn’t I stop having discussions with people about anything except kittehs and PIL? Wait, does John Lydon piss people off now, or is he considered cute and rebellious, yet safe, because he’s done reality TV?

Can I say “of course”? Wouldn’t it depend on the issue, though? Didn’t the eco-terrorists get high sentences for burning down places of business and no one said word one?

Didn’t he already sell out a long time before that?

Didn’t he sell out from the start by being in a band manufactured by Malcolm McLaren?

Where’s [Rey] (Star Wars Monopoly that's missing lead character has fans asking #WheresRey | Star Wars: The Force Awakens | The Guardian)?

Didn’t he wreck it on the American tour and start PIL, so all is forgiven? Doesn’t PIL make up for a whole host of Sex Pistols sins? Don’t I like the Sex Pistols none the less?

Was it worth it to wait a few days to see Sherlock on a ginormous screen while sitting next to MrsTobinL? Isn’t the answer totally obvious?

Did you like it?

Why would I not? Though at $15 a ticket can I be glad I can see the others for free?

You didn’t think it was a touch self-indulgent? What about equating feminists with the KKK, and having Sherlock mansplain feminism to a group of women?

Wouldn’t it have been nicer to have a standalone Victorian episode that didn’t need to tie back into the present day, one that was a ‘real’ mystery and not a hallucination?

Can you tell I didn’t like it much (or any of the preceding series)? Aren’t I a bit disappointed after I loved the first series so much?

Doesn’t that happen a lot with Moffat stuff for me?

Did I really just see this tonight? Was the phrase “hot mess” running through my brain the entire time?

Chicago Tribune’s review of Bel Canto

New York Times’ review of Bel Canto

And was this my personal favorite?: State and Cinema’s review of Bel Canto

But weren’t the singers themselves (mostly) quite good? And isn’t it fun that several of our annual Messiah soloists are associated with Lyric (in this case, mezzo-soprano J’nai Bridges)?

Yeah the ending to the last season was kind of, well disappointing wasn’t it?
I did enjoy it for what it was and I think being in a audience full of fans helped a lot with the fun… plus one should never take a TV show too seriously should one?
Then again maybe I have seen to many truly awful movies/shows that it doesn’t take much to amuse me?
