Is mid-90s recently? Anyone know if the gangs in Garden Grove are still as hard-core as they were then? Does anyone else think the worst of Orange County in general was pretty tame compared to LA?

Didn’t most people think so? But haven’t I been fortunate to have avoided pretty much all gang violence since I moved to Hollywood in 1991? Haven’t all my trips down Westminster way been marked by a somewhat soporific peace-n-quiet, which led me to believe the area might be less of a hotbed for such horrors?

Don’t I learn new things every day? (Or at least shouldn’t I?)

You know many times I visited that Vietnamese place (which was Westminster but next to Garden Grove) and had a nice meal? You know who was a complete moron and got lost driving in LA, pulled off the 710 to try to find a place to ask directions only to have a cop pull them over right away to tell them to get back on the freeway immediately since I was in a bad part of Compton?

Wasn’t there nothing worse that the heartbreak I suffered in grade six to find that someone had used scissors and CUT through all my jean belt loops and stole all mine during gym class!? TRAGEDY!
