Doesn’t Dallas just suck?
Did you try Fort Worth?
No, isn’t driving past it on your way out to Thurber to find a ghost town the wisest course of action?
You don’t derive a certain kind of smug ironic amusement by going to the rodeo and looking down on everyone else attending?
Or was that just me?
(was that a bit dickish of me?)
Haven’t I also been to mud bogging and wrestling events in Texas, for similar ‘entertainment’?
What kind of weirdo goes to the rodeo at 11 at night?
Because you got in free to an event you have no genuine interest in seeing?
Didn’t I have to pay?
Wasn’t it actually moderately entertaining, apart from the cringey über patriotic bits?
Did you get to the Dallas World Aquarium? Is that one of the few lights in a city of mediocrity? Do you like birds? Did you know the UT SW Medical Center rookery is astounding?
Did you know if you link to a flickr album the BBS turns it into a slideshow?
Holy cow, that’s cool!
Wait… whut? What am I looking at… is that a beak?
Have you ever seen a tricolored heron before? Can you see the stick it was carrying back to build its nest?
Perhaps I should pay more attention? Didn’t I think the plumage on its chest was the bottom of an open beak? Was I not terrified by the raptor-like visage?
Was it not the greatest angle, but I had about a second to try for a shot before it was off to add the stick to its nest (hidden in the brush)?
I like the shot, wasn’t it more a case of me being on the other side of the room from my monitor than the quality of the shot?
Why did it have to be raining that day making the light terrible? Can you see the lens fogged in the lower right of the heron/stick one? Am I crazy for shooting in the rain?
Didn’t I just spend ages trying to discern bokeh from fogging in the white bird one rather than the picture of a heron with a stick?
(smh)
Did you know I have a bit of an obsession with taking photos of birds with sticks?
Are you people sharing unsolicited cock pics?
Am I not belatedly taking @TobinL and @japhroaig et als advice and trying some Miles Davis right now, as an attempt to try jazz? Don’t I quite like it? Isn’t it something different, at any rate?
Kind of Blue?
