Did you know I once helped build an entrant for Robot Wars?

Weren’t our employers nice (foolish?) enough to send us off to college for several weeks to build it as part of our graduate training scheme?

Am I the only one who thinks this isn’t an amazing feat of poor, vaguely-in-time synchronization of disparate (classic) dance moves?

As someone who grew up in the MiniApple, don’t I wish that stinky state to the south didn’t exist? But you know what, I went to ISU in Ames for 5 whole years and lived there for all but one of the summers?

(I’ve only been back once, what’s there to see? A bunch of boring insurance company buildings in Des Moines? The landing strips for gay aliens outside of Des Moines? Haven’t I seen those things enough times?)

Have I not only been to House on the Rock, but didn’t my grandparents live a scant 15 or so miles from it? And a paultry 30 miles from Wisconsin Dells? And aren’t we going to road trip to the Dells next summer? (In typical Wisconsin speak, the summer I speak of is 2017, not 2016, dontchaknow?)

Did you know Iowa is the only State in which I’ve been bitten by a rattlesnake? Doesn’t that alone put it lower in my State rankings list?
