Was it one of them rattlers that are trained to attack people who smell like Minnesota?
Donât I recall that you mentioned that in that other thread with âdangerous critters of Texasâ, and I tried to ask you where in Iowa, but the question went over your head?
Isnât it really hard to say where you are in Iowa when the entire State is one vast flat cornfield?
Arenât all rattlers trained to attack people who smell like Minnesota?
What does Minnesota smell of?
Rattlesnake bait?
Like bad movies and robots?
Having smelled like Minnesota before (which isnât critter poop, the way Iowa smells), and also having not ever been bitten by a rattle snake, may I suggest the answer could well be no?
Deep fried food on a stick? Or lutefisk?
I may have watched that broadcast, eh?
Except for Ames and the parts nearest Wisconsin? Wasnât that quite the uphill hike from Lincoln Way to the southern dorms?
Princeâs junk?

Srsly? What the hell? Itâs 72 F in here and the tailless wonder is under the stove?!?
(Can you tell I let my boy âsweepâ up the hearth?)
Not the biggest Iowa fan? Isnât Iowa City kind of cool, though? Is there a place in Iowa called the tri-county area or something like that? If I thought my great-uncleâs farm was near there (where the rattler incident occurred) would that make sense or be a distorted recollection from a time long past?
Well, since I didnât go to U of I, didnât I spend very little time in Iowa City? It was OK? At least they had reasonable venues for independent musical groups to perform? Or was that just that one place we went that one time when I went with my then boyfriend for a gig the band he was in did there?
As for liking the state, didnât all my chums from uni refer to it as being 3 hours from anywhere, and 6 hours from anywhere good? (And werenât nearly all of them native to Iowa?)
how old is the kitty? doesnât my kitty of tropical descent look for any warm spot till the weather outside is above 80F?
Didnât my parents formerly have a hot water boiler that sat on the floor rather than being wall mounted?
Would you ever find the cats anywhere except sitting on it?
IIRC, kitteh is 1.5 years, but channels the heat-hoggery of one our dearly departed?
Isnât this sad on so many levels?
Isnât that a jaunty hat? Does she know sheâll probably never drive again?
