Severe Weather Possible for the Midwest; Wildfire danger for the Plains Today

Warm temperatures, low humidity, gusty winds and dry grasses will combine to create dangerous fire weather condition in the western Plains today. Any grass fires that ignite in the region could quickly grow out of control. Red Flag Warnings are in effect in this area. Severe thunderstorms are possible over portions of the Midwest, mainly late this afternoon and evening.
