So Scott took the Johnny Hart pill?

He’s an expanding Earth guy.

I’m not kidding.

And all this time I thought he was attempting humor. I guess I feel better about never laughing now.

I thought it was Homage to Catalonia, but I’m getting refererred to The Collected Essays, Journalism and Letters of George Orwell, Vol. 1

The Homage to Catalonia quote is

As far as my purely personal preferences went I would have liked to join the Anarchists.

This is your reminder that George Orwell was literally Antifa, fighting fascists before your grandparents thought it was cool.

Scott “Fossils are Bullshit“ Adams has long been addicted to contrarianism. He’s the living embodiment of the stereotype of the engineer who is competent in one field but makes a fool of himself in others.

(And I realize he may not have actually been competent in his field before the cartooning took off. That was back in the nineties, after all.)

I think that’s from “Homage to Catalonia” his account of fighting in the Spanish Civil War.

If I remember correctly the issue wasn’t so much about which group on the left had a better philosophy (any of them were better than Franco), but that they were all mired in political jockeying and squabbles, and the anarchists were at least the most honest of the bunch.

(Oops, I see @anon73430903 beat me to it.)

Didn’t you ever watch the Batman TV show from the '60’s? All the bad guys always leave intentional clues.

Eh, more casting shade at the popularity of the Flyers relative to the Pens, but you’re technically correct and we all know that’s the most important type of correct.

I always liked Dilbert. The TV series is great. Its really sad to see the direction Adams is heading in.

You might say ‘you can take any complitated situation and you’ll find all these random patterns and that’s been proven a million times’ and I say ‘Yeah. I agree.’

Scott Adams at about 5:50 in the video in the linked article while visibly avoiding to laugh out loud. The whole thing was literarily tongue-in-cheek.

Also, some historians view Revelation as a metaphor for the Roman Empire and nothing really to do with the future. Think of it as 1st century sci-fi.

And Scott Adams is an anagram of ‘mad cat toss’ - it’s a political tactic developed from the ‘dead cat bounce’ gambit, to further deflect attention from anything resembling reality.

You have the power to get a syndicated comic strip discontinued?

Jeez - I won’t fuck with you then.

Although when considering total batshit insanity, I’m not sure the source matters much.

His full name is “Scott Raymond Adams.” That’s 5-7-5. You know what’s between 5 and 7?
6. QED, Scott Adams is a Satanist.

“Scott Raymond Adams” has an “SS.” You know what else had an “SS”?
The Nazis. Scott Adams is a secret Nazi.

You know what “Scott Raymond Adams” is an anagram of? “Satan crams my odd rot.” This obviously means Scott is “cramming” the “rot” of Satanic messages into his comic.
I rest my case.

Too much fancy math. Adam’s version is more like: " ‘Donald’ has six letters. He has three names. 6x3 = 666."

I’m getting old and I don’t understand the idiom “fuck with” any more. Does this mean that you don’t like fabiocosta or does it mean that you won’t pester him?
