Plants are really amazing. They go through lengths not to be eaten by animals, and then along comes the sapient species and specialises on some of the species because they are poisonous.
Ok, not true for avocado. 
is truly a fun thing: it’s basically poisonous to all mammals with the exception of humans. And sloths, but Linnaeus grouped them together with humans on one branch, as far as I remember, so that’s ok. Also, hooray for sloths. Great intestinal biome. Detox everything could be a sloth motto for life.
I would trade even my dishwasher for enough time with sloths.
