Well, I’ll take back my comment about it being lame, it sounds like you had a blast. At least people weren’t getting ripped off, exactly. You pay a ludicrous amount of money, you get a good time… just one that’s far out of reach of the vast majority of people.
You know, relatve to most of the other hotels on Disney World property it actually is quite small at “only” 100 rooms. Some of the other hotels there have more than 20X that many. The whole place is mind-blowingly large and there are more than 37,000 hotel rooms on Disney World property.
Forget the top 1%: If the company had convinced just 0.3% of their hotel guests to do the Star Wars thing then they would have kept it fully booked, but I guess not even that many people were willing to pay those prices.

For people with kids along too small to participate in the LARPing, they weren’t too keen on dropping them at the Anakin Youngling Center. /s
