I guess it’s technically coincidental cause it sounds like they were discussing the idea anyway. But when it came down to it Miles Morales’ design was more than a bit based on Glover in direct reference to the fan campaign to cast him.
Which I still think was a nice, and pretty prompt acknowledgement of the discussion the whole thing kicked off.
Today I’ll be the nerd who clarifies that Sony’s Spider-Verse movies are (as of yet) not part of the MCU.
ETA: Mea culpa, I didn’t realize that the cameo Glover had in Spider-Man: Homecoming was supposed to be the same character!

Yeah I didn’t think that character sounded much like Glover.
I love Donald Glover. Atlanta is a masterpiece. And I’ll be there for the Spiderverse sequel. But I can probably skip another Sony Spiderman Monetization Exercise. Unless they do, “The Wall.” Totally down for that.
