There probably is a sensor that detects if a hitch accessory is attached to the hitch receiver, which in turn adds some assumed length to the vehicle so that the back-up warning sensor knows the vehicle is now slightly longer…or that you haven’t lost your trailer at highway speed. Oops.
If you park it outside, it gets stolen or the catalytic converter cut off. If you park it inside, your building could burn. The only winning move is not to play.
