Watching the trailer, it seems like it’s a kids version of Jumanji and Indiana Jones, with a side order of Teen Movie Angst.
I’d rather see this than live action Aladdin.

Nickelodeon did a good job with the Avatar (Airbender) series. Those kids were 12 to 14, so the target audience were probably 8 to 12 year olds. They then did the Legend of Korra series with an older Avatar, and more adult problems, because their audience aged with them.
