DOT ORG DRAMA: New promises from private equity firm trying to buy up .org

This is the kind of phrase that distinguishes “healthy public debate” from “cynical pantomime”. It makes it sound like that AG is carefully weighing various equally-valid choices, as you’d want an impartial state to do. Except, carefully weighing a fox’s desire for henhouse-guarding work isn’t impartial; it’s telling chickens to go fuck themselves in an impartial-sounding voice.

Everyone knows that a financial speculator does not and cannot act in the public interest. That’s not some rabid communist position. It’s simply taking people at their word when they say “we exist to buy stuff and financially exploit it”.

I dunno, perhaps we want a society whose every last square inch is covered in insatiable bloodsucking mosquitoes. Clearly I am out of touch with mainstream thinking on this point. But do we also need the insane lies about it? It just feels like that makes it 10x worse for no reason.

Exactly; no more .org for PlannedParenthood or any non-RWNJ party.
