These snails were the subject of a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo several months ago. Called Achatina Snail Farms, the project hoped to help poor rural people in Ghana start their own businesses raising and selling the snails. Unfortunately, it didn’t make its funding goal of $10,000.
