Hurray for an Idaho jury!
That this excellent ruling came out of Idaho supports a friend’s common assertion: modern society is one where it’s most likely to hear from, or about, jerks, and to be decent is to be unheard or unseen.
The apology should also be played on repeat on conservative publications/tv channels to drive the point home about this sort of defamation

Once there is a judgement like this, the plaintiff ought to be able to merely forward it to the hosting sites saying ‘take it down’ and if they don’t, they become liable too. In that situation they should become publishers not common carriers.
Can we have a repeat of what happened with Trump, where there’s additional judgements against her? Because if she keeps repeating the lie, either with new posts or by keeping old posts up, it sure seems reasonable to keep hitting her with more judgements.
With little reasonable possibility of collection, who does the work? The first lawyer got the news.
It didn’t seem like the additional judgements in Trump’s case took much more work, but yeah, point taken.
