According to Andre the Giant folklore they’ll let you sleep on the floor of the lobby as long as you’re too drunk to wake up and too large for an entire team of hotel staff to move.

That is why I think is either hotel policy or something the manager is telling the employees to do

Manager a racist a@@hole and the brother another one, probably they run the floor like they own it
But in any caser this type of behaviour is almost impossible to hide, specially in a managerial position. I doubt this was the first time it happen and I doubt the hotel chain was unaware of it.
They probably got away with it until they got caught by someone famous
