the mortal storm http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032811/keywords?ref_=tt_stry_kw has nazi germany tag but no world war 2 tagā€¦
I suppose there must a be a number of surprises like that.
Also the different types of world war 2 titles
Movies (2,429)
Television (1,113)
Video Games (75)
Short Films (695)
should probably be randomly selected to get a better view of the running time.

OK, you asked for it. The song that Robert Altman requested Johnny Mandel write, with the instruction ā€œItā€™s got to be the stupidest song ever writtenā€, eventually written as a collaboration between Mandel and Altmanā€™s 14 year old son Micheal.

Through early morning fog I see
Visions of the things to be
The pains that are withheld for me
I realize and I can seeā€¦

Chorus:
that suicide is painless
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please.

I try to find a way to make
All our little joys relate
Without that ever-present hate
But now I know that itā€™s too late, andā€¦

<repeat chorus>

The game of life is hard to play
Iā€™m gonna lose it anyway
The losing card Iā€™ll someday lay
So this is all I have to say.

<repeat chorus>

The only way to win is cheat
And lay it down before Iā€™m beat
And to another give my seat
For thatā€™s the only painless feat.

<repeat chorus>

The sword of time will pierce our skins
It doesnā€™t hurt when it begins
But as it works its way on in
The pain grows strongerā€¦watch it grinā€¦

<repeat chorus>

A brave man once requested me
To answer questions that are key
Is it to be or not to be
And I replied ā€˜oh why ask me?ā€™

'Cause suicide is painless
It brings on many changes
And I can take or leave it if I please.
ā€¦and you can do the same thing if you please.

<repeat chorus>

Geez, thatā€™s worse than the original. Athough admittedly ā€œManic Street Preachersā€ is a great band name, particularly for this song.

Oooh, donā€™t be criticizing the Manics (@the_borderer will be upset with you). Great band. And awesomely, because they arenā€™t well know over here despite being huge in the UK (a few years ago, admittedly), I got to see them in a tiny venue in Seattle. And they were fan-fucking-tastic.

Not their only war song, they did one about the Spanish Civil War too.

Itā€™s better than the b side by The Fatima Mansions (it was a charity record by the NME for The Spastics Society)

The manics never had much luck in the US. They tried to promote their first album there and got messed around by their record company, then ended up stuck in LA unable to perform because of the curfews during the riots. They would have probably been banned after one concert there if they had performed, they would almost certainly had said someting in support of Rodney King.

The second time they tried, Richey Edwards went missing on the day they were supposed to fly out.

Iā€™m just waiting for the new album, with a new sound from them

Terrible band, though.
