A variation of Mudlarking is Magnetic Fishing. This involves suspending a medium sized rare earth magnet on the end of a fishing pole & line. Fishing with Magnets often happen on inter-city canals and waterways. Often larger findings include safes, automobile parts, bicycles, etc. Smaller finds include much of what traditional Mudlarkers found in the past.
