It’s always fascinating to me when I come across an old internet phenomenon that I’ve entirely missed out on despite being at least adjacent to Very Online for much of the past couple of decades.
If that trailer is anything to go by, I have to disagree on that “without being obnoxious” thing though.

That’s probably it, though given my internet habits in the late 2000s I’m very surprised I haven’t come across this nonetheless. Though judging by that trailer I likely did at some point, and then move right on by without remembering much of it - obnoxious stuff like that was never my jam, thankfully.
