Once again, I am calling for actual jail time.
At the very least, he’s clearly running an illegal lottery, which violates Pennsylvania state law. It doesn’t just look hinky. Also, if it does violate election laws, it’s not just Musk who can be prosecuted. They can also prosecute the people who accepted the money. I kind of want that to happen. These laws exist for a reason. They taint the elections. And that, I suspect, is the real point of this.
Try to imagine for a moment if Bill Gates did this for Harris. How do you think Republicans would react? The media? Trump himself?
Imagine how bad a major defense contractor who is in regular contact with the head of a de facto enemy state would look.
I’m sure someone will have something to say about that, as soon as they’ve finished banning TikTok as a national security risk.
Doesn’t the US have sanctions against Russia? Is Elon Musk in violation of those sanctions with his support of Vladimir Putin? In the interest of national security, should President Biden issue executive orders ordering Musk, SpaceX, and Tesla to cease doing business with Russia under penalty of loss of US government contracts? That’s in the scope of his official duties and responsibilities and so such an executive order wouldn’t be reviewable by the Injustices of the Supreme Court by their own ruling.
Welcome to the alumni reunion of the Donald Trump School of Doing Business.
I’m just surprised that Elon hasn’t yet forged posts on X from, say, the Harris campaign.
Musk (probably)
If Musk didn’t think of it, I’m sure Vlad would have mentioned it to him.
The moment for it would be the night of November 4th, to influence the election before the media gets their boots on.
eta: On the plus side, if there was a backdoor to forge posts, Mr Impulse probably would have used it already.
Unsurprised.
Unsurprised.
Unsurpr… Hold on, what’s a word a bit like unsurprised that isn’t unsurprised?
I hate being repetitive, no matter how many times I have to say it.
Anyways, Major Bollocks to Leon. Go vote, Go Vote Blue, for humanity’s sake, you lovely people.
Paxton is playing this up on the official attorney general website with a a big headline implying it is some kind of legal move. They made a damned FOIA request, that’s all. Anyone can request records under FOIA. His office can’t do their actual job, being attorneys for state agencies, and yet are wasting their damned time on this.
As in, “I’ve done multiple illegal things and my chickens are going to come home to roost if Trump doesn’t get in”.
