Elon Musk's obnoxious X sign gets the axe after residents complain (video)

I do wonder who had the clout to make him take it back down so fast.

The City of San Francisco. Who knows how many building codes and planning codes he violated putting that sign up without permits. If he’d wanted to keep pushing it, they probably could have yanked the occupancy permit.

Jack Dorsey still owned a chunk of Twitter.

In October 2022, Dorsey retained his 2.4% ownership of Twitter when the company was sold to Elon Musk.[65]

Bet he regrets not taking that $1B right when it sold.

I’m still a bit gobsmacked that the thing was so bright it didn’t even seem to photograph properly.

Crown Prince Bonesaw: “Bring Musk here so I can saw his fucking legs off.”

Assistant : “Sorry, the corporation owns the debt, Not Musk.”

CPB: “Grrrrrrr! Foiled by Musk’s cunning genius!”

:: beat ::

CPB and Assistant: “HA HA HA HA HA!”

Assistant: “Good one, sir. I’ll get right on that.”

Good - I hope he loses each and every penny. Dorsey has been using his money to back Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Could have referred to Musk just as well, right?

… Enron, MCI Worldcom, Global Crossing, Arthur Anderson, etc… (basically, every kind of ‘creative accounting’ fraud you’ve ever heard of.)

Yup. Happens frequently. Hell, that’s what most of the LLCs in the world are designed for.

Yup. Sandbags. Hope the company that built the thing, set it up and took it down got paid in advance for that idiocy.
