Not all that surprising seeing how Trump responded to the coronavirus for the past month
Let’s see how it’ll take before he blames Obama for this, too.
Just like with his father… Trump was given a fully functional and growing enterprise and his incompetence crashed it. The stock market would have taken a hit regardless, with all the gimmicks and giveaways have effectively eroded the foundation, so there is nothing left for the stock market to stand on.
I’m a little concerned that this graph seems to be anticipating a three-term president.
With any luck, he won’t even finish out this term.
Ask a Trumper whether the stock market has performed consistently better with a Democrat or Republican as president and they will 95% tell you it was Republican.
Show them this chart and that number will immediately drop as low as 94%.
It’s just DJIA, the other ones have a ways to go still to hit the levels from Inauguration day.
Gosh. It’s almost like Trump has been judging his own worth by useless metrics he has little actual control over…
It’s not really gloating to say “I told you so” in this situation. I remember people saying Trump wouldn’t be able to handle a serious catastrophe, they were predicting a “Hurricane Katrina” moment would eventually come, and this sure looks like it.
Well, he has spent his first (and only) term trying to undo everything Obama accomplished.
The Orange Lump is so jealous of Obama that he is now going to wipe out all the gains in the market that were made during the Obama terms. TAKE THAT LIBERALS!
Realistically, his handling of Hurricane Maria was already his Katrina moment, people just didn’t notice because it was largely kept out of the news by everything else he was screwing up at the time.
Our country is in the hands of the guy that won’t pay his contracted workers if he can avoid it. It’s only going to get worse as long as he’s in charge. Not worse for him and his “friends”. Worse for everyone else.
It’s only satisfying in that dRumpf was right there to take credit when it went up so I’m perfectly willing to give him credit for it falling.
To be honest I’ve never believed that any president has that much effect positive or negative on the stock market except in the very short term as in it fell when dRumpf gave speech on CV.
He already has - March 4th =
