The sad thing is most Trump supporters who read things won’t care. They will actually smile and nod at any edge he has, because anything is warranted in the fight against evil Democrats. If he sold his soul to the devil, they’d call him God’s Anointed and mourn him as a martyr.
A sadder thing is, most of them don’t read, and Fox News will just tell them what to think about this anyway.

The Trumpist mindset regarding Russian collusion/election interference is “oh my God why are you bringing that up AGAIN??” as if the Senate’s refusal to convict (or seriously consider convicting) Trump was a vindication rather than a naked example of a political party putting partisanship over country.
No amount of evidence will ever change their minds, because evidence was never a factor in their current understanding of reality.

If we found a recorded phone call of Trump thanking Putin for delivering 20 million fake votes to the polls himself, they’d just have a higher opinion of Putin. When you believe it is God vs the Devil, Good vs Evil, if Putin helps Trump it just means that Putin is good, too.

I think both are true.
They refuse to believe Trump committed any crime. When Trump is proven beyond a doubt to have done something, they convince themselves that it wasn’t really a crime.
