I have to give him the “the show must go on” there at least. Dang that had to been super painful. And glass in the lid of a pressure cooker? Not sure what idiot came up with that design.

The cooker must not have been very pressurized, it barely exploded.

In all fairness, if you did what they did to get that result, you need to have your wrenches taken away from you. (they bypassed both the thermal safety cutout AND replaced the pressure release valve with a plug, turning the tank into a bomb.)

That wasn’t an explosion-the guy clearly releases the pressure lock and lifts the lid. Monumentally stupid move but the cooker didn’t fail.

A pressure cooker that does not lock the lid when, well, under pressure, has already failed.
