Thanks for sharing as I would have otherwise not know of this.
You are also bringing back memories of getting to see (well hear mostly it was at a now long gone arena) both his dad and granddad when I was a wee one back in the 70s. They were taking the Calypso up the Mississippi and gave a lecture which we or rather my dad was lucky enough to get some tickets for. We also got to see the famous boat while it was docked by the Arch for a few days but alas did not get to go on board.

An underwater base with a dramatic, classical name? I’m expecting sci-fi horror. As it is called “Proteus”, I’m expecting something to do with genetic mutation; maybe super-smart octopuses.
