Meanwhile, at the social media prom, Google+ is sitting in a dark corner of the gym, wearing a forlorn but sadly hopeful expression on its face as it watches the prom king and queen argue for the 1000th time this year. It starts to stand up. Maybe it should intervene, even if just to remind the queen that it still exists. It’s still out there, lurking just beyond the home page, putting ”+1” stickers on everything even if no one knows or cares what they mean. Maybe…maybe this time it will work.
