Back in 2005 or so, I co-directed a commercial for Flick Trix (fingerboards and tiny BMX bikes). I thought they were the goofiest thing ever when I first saw the toys, but the casting agency brought in kids who knew all sorts of tricks, and it was kind of amazing to see. Not just how agile they were with their fingertips on these tiny bikes, but how deadly serious the kids were.
