I’m still not happy with the placement of the thing (and will soon loose the reg flag because I nearly stopped reading threads), but the new colour makes BBS a Better Place™.

enter a topic at the top (do this by clicking or tapping on the last post date, or post count)

scroll up while reading a topic, especially on longer topics

(Note that the nomenclature is always “lowest read position.” We technically do keep track of all unread posts in a topic but dealing with a Swiss cheese of unread posts “reading holes” in a long topic is tough from a UI perspective.)

I just noticed, on the desktop view, that little dark-blue tick which marks your “lowest read position.”

We technically always did this (well, since 1.6…), but it was very hard to trigger the conditions necessary for it to appear.
