Important to note this study assumes carbon emissions go to zero by 2030. very safe to assume that will not happen, so consider this a better than best case scenario, if that is a thing.

I don’t personally feel any confusion at all, but most of the world keeps on with business as usual. I was at the city council meeting this evening where plans were presented for a new amphitheater to be placed in an area that’s “heavily treed”. No environmental impact study, no thought for choosing a brownfield site, no thought for waiting 20 years or whenever until we’ve switched to an electrical economy instead of one based on fossil fuels. The only thought is growing the economy.
