Florida man shoots landscaper blowing leaves

I have an Ego blower that we use to pile for gathering and dumping on the trees and garden. I don’t bother grinding them, just let the “ground crew” take care of that part. It is quieter than the gas models, but certainly not silent. Much less environmental impact, though.

I mainly pile the newly-shredded leaves onto the garlic that I set in October as an insulating layer. The garlic shoots can’t push through whole leaves easily and get bent over, but can push through the mulched leaves just fine. I pile a 6-8 inch deep layer on top.

I pile mine around the orchard trees and in the garden, then use a home-brew “seed drill” to plant through them for corn, sunflowers, beans and such.
