An online acquaintance of mine has a partner who is a volunteer firefighter in NSW, she sent me a picture of him after a 48 hour shift, poor bloke was shattered, his skin was black with smuts and soot, even the inside of his mouth.

The fire in this video is 10 km from my house. I have shaken hands with the man driving the truck to thank him for everything he is doing for us. Our fire season is always bad, but ti’s never been this bad before.
