Fox News confused a Monty Python sketch with the Seattle CHAZ activists

The Governor threw a little bit of shade towards Bunker Baby

"What we will not allow, are threats of military violence against Washingtonians coming from the White House. The U.S. military serves to protect Americans, not the fragility of an insecure president."

That’s a mackerel not a salmon.

Love making “Grilled Saba” at home

Yes, and a resounding YES!

I had to work with the gif I got.

And it’s amazing how a stinky, fishy mackerel can transform into a mild and delicious treat with just the application of salt, pepper, and heat.

Fox News is frequently “confused” about hoaxes and jokes that - coincidentally - seem to reinforce their fantasy narratives. Lara Logan alone is a repeated offender, when it comes to antifa:

It’s bad. They’ve actually gotten some backlash from some of their own audience because they’ve gone so far in both misrepresenting images that were from other cities and outright falsifying images (literally 'shopping in random images of gunmen into street scenes) to create false narratives about Seattle. They’ve given up their last vestiges of pretense about being journalists.

This is me and the kiddos movie!

And the police like to reinforce our fears about antifa.

Police: “This bus was stopped yesterday at Broad St. & 3rd due for obstruction of traffic. There was a suspicion of supplying riot equipment to rioters. Detectives followed up with a vehicle search today and found numerous items: bats, rocks, meat cleavers, axes, clubs and other projectiles. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.”

Owner of the bus: “We were at the protest handing out water and washing mace off of people’s faces. If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to me. This bus is my home and I often use it as a supply vehicle. We were peaceful the entire time. The ‘weapons’ that were found are tools. Axes for my wood stove, knives for cooking, etc. … The ‘riot gear’ was literally a child’s shoulder pads, elbow, and knee pads for sports.”

That plays a big part in Fox’s coverage (in general, but also specifically) of Seattle, too - the police there stated that protestors were extorting local businesses, which became a core part of Fox’s narrative. (I.e. of armed antifa terrorists burning down the city, turning the “CHAZ” into a fortified compound where they were robbing, extorting, raping and pillaging…) But when actual reporters questioned the police, they admitted it was only a rumor they had heard on social media and that no one had actually reported any such thing to them…

My wife’s doctor’s office is by the CHAZ. We had no problem getting in and out. Seemed to feel more like a street fair than anything else.

Imagine that happening when their “News” is literally picking and choosing among Reddit comments by random, anonymous users.

They’re really big on the “this random comment by some anonymous user proves our unfounded assertion” kind of “evidence.” Though occasionally they go for broke with a “self-described expert whose claims support our fantasies and as a result we made absolutely no effort to ascertain he was who he said he was, despite obvious red flags in his supposed CV.”

I heard they needed to put up a strong military presence around the White House due to heavily armed and aggressive antifa.

Said group tried to invade and occupy the building to vandalise it.

So it is written.

Firstly, I absolutely love whoever got a Fox “news” correspondent to quote the Holy Grail. And that is my favorite scene.

Secondly, this story about the bus:

just highlights how, if all you have is a hammer, every problem is a nail. If everyone beyond the [wretch] thin blue line is an enemy, everything they possess is a weapon. Who among us would see a, say, bowling pin-type thing and think it was a weapon? I might consider its usefulness if I needed to bonk someone on the head, but first thoughts would definitely be: bowling, and juggling. Maybe cute doorstop. Cops see “club.”

And WTF do they mean by “other projectiles”? Isn’t anything that someone could conceivable throw potentially a projectile? I could look into almost anyone’s vehicle and find “other projectiles.” Especially a vehicle that is lived in.

Remember, even taking race out of this, the issue here is police brutality, by portraying peaceful protesters as violent thugs they’re trying to justify their own documented violence. So naturally they bend over backwards to manufacture evidence of “violent extremists”, in the hope that it will keep the majority of the population on the side of “law and order.”

This is a variation on police planting evidence, except they’re unlikely to press charges here because this tactic is part of a propaganda war, and losing a bogus court case would be counterproductive.
