My understanding is that it’s mostly rice-krispies treat and fondant with wooden skewers in some places for rigidity. Sometimes portions of it are real cake if it needs to be more than a centerpiece.
Like, it’s a fine display of edible-to-semi-edible sculpture, but is it cake?
