Here’s how I’ve envisioned the Republican House’s Hierarchy of Privilege in D.C.

The Old Guard, anyone who’s served five terms or more, owns a nice house in D.C. If they’ve served two to five terms, they’re renting a nice house in D.C. Under two terms, they’re living in a dormitory the GOP built on land they stole from the county fair back in the 1980’s (The circus once came to town, threw up a really big tent, and never left the mudpit). Ambitious incoming freshman, like the Tea Party or the Freedom Caucus live on a single floor of that dormitory - where they once staged a sit-in in order to proclaim that they’re the next generation of cool kids, destined to ultimately seize control. (Anyone who’s been there longer basically looks at them side-eyed and mutters “Get a real job, hippies.”). MTG was forced out of the cool kids’ floor and forced to live in the dormitory’s doghouse, out back. Now that she’s been kicked out of the dog house, I assume she’s sleeping under a bridge somewhere, hoping someone in the old guard will take her in. If they do, they’d better watch out - she bites.

She could always buy a houseboat in a slip next to Manchin.

Man, you should see the size of the rats down there.

Well she will always be plenty hideous for me!

So this means the Freedom Caucus has one less vote in their voting block? By kicking her out, they’ve diminished their own power? Okay.

While the White House did not confirm when the president will be heading to Georgia —another GOP stronghold like South Carolina

Um… the fuck they say? They should come to the ATL and say that… Do people keep forgetting that we not only went for Biden, but have two Democratic senators now? :woman_shrugging:

If he does drop her but she doesn’t get expelled, would she submit a motion to “vacate the chair” in retaliation and spite? :crossed_fingers:

Read that again.

“I think the way she referred to a fellow member was probably not the way we expect our members to refer to other fellow, especially female, members,”

He’s speaking about the gender of the person the word is directed against, not the gender of the person saying the word. :man_shrugging:

Still, he’s right one time in his life. The B-word carries misogynistic connotations, more so when used against a woman – even if used by a woman.

I like the word “asshole” because it doesn’t bring gender into it, and Boebert is just that. An asshole.

That would be… interesting.
Especially if McCarthy loses the vote, & they have to go thru the process of getting a new Speaker again. I don’t see anyone in the House majority willing to deal with that herd of rabid cats,
It would be interesting [and probably apalling] to see who gets Lord Dampnut’s endorsement in that situation.

McCarthy probably won’t say or do anything one way or the other, re: Empty Gee, unless he is forced to, somehow. After all, he doesn’t want to lose his Dream Job after less than a year.
