As a member of a two-veterinarian family, I echo what was said in the article. Please don’t buy French Bulldogs. Their existence is very nearly cruelty. Most need surgery from birth just to be able to breathe, and they will never be very healthy. It’s a short difficult life for them. Also frankly, personality-wise, few of them are very nice. They have little going for them beyond being cute.
