Tesla laid off a ton of people this quarter. Is this related to the issue Tesla customers are having with service? Musk, in the Q3 earnings call, kinda dodged this by saying that the goal is to not need any service because “The car doesn’t break.”

Yesterday, Tesla reported earnings for Q3 2024 which included a windfall of $739 million in straight profit from selling EV tax credits to other automakers. Those tax credits, of course, are government incentives meant to grow the EV industry.
