Truly, truly outrageous
I wonder how many were released by judges who are Tromp appointees.
Good question, but I’d expect this no matter who the appointed the judge, honestly. These are “good” (meaning white, solidly middle class, pillars of community) types who probably have clean records (because they got away with whatever shit they did in their past due to their whiteness.
Truly white terrorists, treated as expected.
Yeah, the instant they got pushback, there was no negotiation, just “oh, it’s too greedy”.
“To be clear, I absolutely want the survivors, the descendants and others that were affected to be financially and emotionally supported,” he continued. “However, this is not the way.”
I dunno. Maybe give some Black pilot a plane and some bombs and let him repay the white folks in kind?

Lots of stories on this were in The Toronto Star this morning, and about a full page of editorial/op-ed dedicated to it. Columnists include Brandi Morin, who is Iroquois from Alberta, who are among those focused on the role of the Catholic Church.
I don’t think you detracted from the importance, I thought it was an honest presentation of the article in the format of the thread. It is not something that one wants to read unaware.
