Furry convention evacuated after chlorine-gas attack

It was exactly that process which went wrong. My lab partner decided that the process looked boring and decided to spice it up by adding considerably more than instructed. The flask failed to hold the reaction, cue an outpouring of rapidly creeping green tendrils …

We did find out that our rather mousey chemistry teacher could be quite decisive in an emergency though. :smile:

People can be like that. :slight_smile: My chem teacher told me about a timid little guy who one day glanced at the factory’s instrument panel, and his personality highly-not-fitting “everybody, get OUT! NOW!” saved many lives that day.

Well, it can’t be a gas and a powder at the same time, if we’re nitpicking. Powder is still an inhalation hazard, but it won’t spread nearly as far or hang in the air as long as gas.
