Popping in with a mobile beta for iOS: Night Terrors. I can’t verify how sketchy the data collection of this is, but it has been worth 99 cents for an interesting self-scare-a-thon.
It’s has been funded on indiegogo and is little more than a technology demo, but you can definitely get the creeps walking around with this.
Uplay isn’t so bad. As a client, it’s better than Steam. In fact, so is Origin 
I get people wanting all of their games in one spot, but hell, I’d rather play whatever I enjoy, be it from Steam, GOG, Origin or Uplay than be loyal to a platform (and Valve are not really worth any loyalty these days).
Mostly it was the waiting for it to try and find a server every time I wanted to open any menu in farcry 3. Check the map waiting for server update your skill tree waiting for server open your inventory waiting for server. With steam once the games open it’s out of the bloody way as it should be.
So I can partly blame @codinghorror after noticing him playing Pinball Arcade.
I tried out the free table and was quite impressed. I ended up getting season 4? At the sale price over the holiday as a birfday present for myself and cause it has 3 tables I dropped more than a few quarters into during my younger days.

Also I feel kinda hurr hurr yes I am 12 at that table. We used to joke with the female valley girl voice announcement of ‘oooh Jackpot!’ along with the machine rumble that it was making the machine have an orgasm. I would regularly leave credits for other students as it was time to afternoon classes.

Wasn’t there a Tig Nataro set back in the day (I think even shown on Comedy Central) where she reveals she’s gay and says something like, “And I know you’re thinking ‘I’ve been laughing at her jokes all night, does that make me gay?’ to which I can assure you, yes… yes you are now gay.”

Don’t let Blizzard fool you into thinking they don’t know what the internet does with game models. There are some SFW ones, but the porn came out immediately in the closed beta.
Jeebus like big fucking deal, oh wait they need to go fix all their slash stories now I guess. And if it is pissing off the brogamers that much I may have to buy a copy.
But a high proportion of that porn must feature Tracer having sex with other female characters, right? Doesn’t slashfic skew pretty gay to begin with? (Not that I, or you, or anyone else would know…)

This has been making the rounds on Tumblr and every time I see it I laugh, and hit repost.
I literally had no idea what any of this was before this post. Still reposted it.
Here’s what I’ve been grappling with: Okay, you’re a straight male, and you strongly identify as both straight and male. You like to play a videogame where you regularly choose to play as both male and female characters.
Then, you find out that one of the female characters has a girlfriend.
Previously playing as that character was fine when she was a straight and female. Now she’s a gay and female and you’ve got a big problem.
Who identifies this strongly with being straight?
Like, if this person did a Freaky Friday and woke up tomorrow in the body of a woman they’d say, “Well, I guess I’m attracted to men now”?
Maybe this is because I find my own gender more fluid than I find my attraction to different secondary sex characteristics, but to me it just seems so preposterous. Some people feel very strongly that they are male or female. Some people feel very strongly that they are attracted to male bodies or to female bodies. Those things both make sense to me. Feeling very strongly that you are straight - that what kinds of bodies you are attracted to depends on your own gender… I just don’t get it.
Even with Poe’s law, I have to hope that post is a joke.

Oh my gods. If this is a joke, it’s lost on me. Also … Really creepy. I have so many questions. Do straight men want to feel like their lover’s savior? Ugh.
Between the mom-bringing-chicken-nuggets trope and the part where bestiality is presumably more taboo than same-sex relations (Winston is a gorilla), I have a feeling this is a joke and everything about it is there to appear as pathetic as possible.
But, like, 80%-range joke. I wouldn’t put more than $20 on it.
I read a fair few gaming sites/forums, I have no problem believing that it’s 100% real.
